By now, you know how much money you will pay your vendors for 2006. Now its time for them to pay you back. Here is how it works:
- Go to your accounting program and generate a list of vendors along with how much you paid them in 2006.
- Sort the list (descending).
- Call your vendors, tell them that you enjoyed doing business with them and remind them how much money you have spent with them.
- Ask them for referrals.
In order to make this more effective, let your vendors know how they can help you. In other words, what are somethings they should listen for when speaking with their contacts. For example, in helping our vendors help us find advertisers, I would tell them that if their contacts are interested in business owners/small business or if they are not getting enough leads or "feel invisible", they should be referred to us.
